NEA Part 9 Pt.2 - 300 word mock up

 How to play Pokemon:
1.At the start of a battle you draw six cards and put them to one side. These are known as prize cards, every time you knock out an opponent’s Pokémon you can draw a prize card. Once all of your prize cards have been drawn or when your opponent draws their last card you win.

2.There is 1 main card zone and 5 zones on the bench. Pokémon on the bench can be evolved and switched out to the main card zone at an energy cost. Energies can be equipped to the card and discarded to make an attack or discarded to switch out for one of the Pokémon on the bench.

3.To attack your opponents Pokémon you will have to equip the right amount and type of energies and once the attack is done discard the energies. Pokémon have a weakness and a resistance that are listed at the bottom of the card. Pokémon attacks have effects that either effect your or your opponents Pokémon. To see how much damage the Pokemon there are damage counters that are put on it.

4.There are 3 stages in Pokémon (Basic, Stage 1 and Stage 2). Basic Pokémon evolve into stage 1 and then into stage 2. Pokémon can’t be evolved on your first turn or on the first turn that they were played they also can’t attack.

5.Some Pokémon also have abilities that would help them or other Pokémon. The ability is listed on the card above the attack. EX cards also have ability where if they get knocked out the opponent draws two prize cards instead of one.

6.There are 5 special conditions that can be inflicted to your Pokemon. These are sleep, burn, paralysis, confusion and poison. Poison and burn have special counters but the
other conditions change the orientation of the card.

7.There are also trainer cards that can benefit your Pokemon by healing them or by adding energies to them or to your hand.
