NEA Part 9 Pt.2 - 300 word mock up

 How to play Pokemon: 1.At the start of a battle you draw six cards and put them to one side. These are known as prize cards, every time you knock out an opponent’s Pokémon you can draw a prize card. Once all of your prize cards have been drawn or when your opponent draws their last card you win. 2.There is 1 main card zone and 5 zones on the bench. Pokémon on the bench can be evolved and switched out to the main card zone at an energy cost. Energies can be equipped to the card and discarded to make an attack or discarded to switch out for one of the Pokémon on the bench. 3.To attack your opponents Pokémon you will have to equip the right amount and type of energies and once the attack is done discard the energies. Pokémon have a weakness and a resistance that are listed at the bottom of the card. Pokémon attacks have effects that either effect your or your opponents Pokémon. NEA Statement of intent

My magazine will be and educational magazine that will be aimed at 10 – 13 year olds. It will based on the turn based RPG (role-playing game) Pokemon and how to play the card game (TCG – trading card game). My magazine will be aimed for people who are new to the Pokemon TCG, or for people who want to re-familiarise themselves with the rules. I would say that it is for a niche audience because the Pokemon games and anime (Show) are more popular than the TCG. The magazine will include a detailed step by step tutorial on how to play the card game alongside pictures of the card so that people can follow it more easily. This will also accompany people who learn in different ways such as visual learners. My magazine will be called 'Professor Blackthorn (Prunus Spinosa) - TCG'. Blackthorn trees grow in the UK and Pokemon professor names are based on trees such as Oak (Quercus), ‘Juniper (Juniperus Genus)’ and ‘Sycamore (Acer Pseudoplatanus)’.
